The Engineering College approached NSI Projects for a bespoke design solution for two first-floor classrooms with a clear working area underneath at ground floor level. Based in the heart of industrial Merseyside in Birkenhead, founded to combat chronic skills shortages, the college has trained more than 10,000 students, contributing to a vibrant, sustainable regional engineering industry. After the initial meeting with the client, NSI produced a bespoke design solution which required the design of a brace-less mezzanine floor with perimeter glass partitioning at both ground and first-floor levels.
