TRY BEFORE YOU BUY - This is the piece of advice we feel strongest of all about. Because your furniture will in many cases get a lot of use it has to feel right for you. There is absolutely no substitute for trying out your likely choice in the retail store to make sure that you feel fully comfortable.
With 90 years of British furniture manufacturing tradition behind us we are proud to be British and to employ approximately 240 people directly, with several hundred additional jobs also supported in our supplier companies. Manufacturing all our own frames (and using superb Recliner and Adjustable Bed actions from the leading suppliers in the world) every piece is fully produced (not just assembled) in our factories in the North of England. Not only that, but with our excellent reputation for high quality, quick and efficient service and value for money, many of the designs in our range are established top sellers.
This product is built to our highest quality standards. However, should you encounter operational problems please follow these checks before contacting your supplier. Is the battery charged? Plug in the transformer and charging lead to the mains power and connect power lead to charging outlet at the rear of the chair/settee. If the chair/settee works it needs to be left to charge. Ensure all leads are connected (modular furniture in particular). If none of the above contact your stockist. Check that the switch at the back of the handset is set to the on position.
Firstly, we ensure that all the timber purchased is PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and that all the MDF, chipboard and hardboard materials have full FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council). This means that only fully sustainable, renewable sources are ever used. Secondly, we have discontinued using moulded, plastic legs on three of our fireside ranges and use mainly eco-polythene bags, made from recycled plastic bottles, to protect our furniture in transit.
