Welcome to Verdigris, a contemporary forge and metalworking studio based in Dorset near Wimborne Minster. Work made by the forge is installed throughout the UK and occasionally further afield! All types of creative and artistic metalwork is designed and made, ranging from pure sculpture through to more practical items such as gates, railings and balustrades. We have gained a reputation for creating exciting, innovative and highly detailed designs by blending traditional blacksmithing techniques with the use of modern precision machinery.
Here at Verdigris, we design and create bespoke, detailed, and contemporary metalwork, using metals such as wrought iron, stainless steel, bronze and copper. We welcome all enquiries, whether from private households or large corporations and regularly work with architects and interior designers. Over the years we have built up a comprehensive and diverse body of work; a selection of which is shown below. We have a natural affinity towards designs with movement, flow and sweeping curvilinear lines but enjoy designing and making any style of creative metalwork of any scale.
