Forest Sofa is one of the UK's leading furniture manufacturers specialising in sofas, armchairs and sofa beds. Certified by the Association of British Furniture Manufacturers, we specialise in producing leather and fabric sofas and also offer a wide range of sofa accessories, tailored to the requirements of the UK retail market. Based in Greater Manchester where we've been manufacturing for over 55 years, often sourcing local supplies including UK made fabrics. As an established company with several decades of experience, we are able to cater consistently to our customers' needs.

Forest Sofa is a UK upholstery furniture manufacturer: designing, developing and producing a range of vintage, contemporary, leather and fabric sofas as well as upholstered accessories. All items featured on this site are individually hand-made in our Greater Manchester factory. We control the entire production process, from the hardwood frame construction and choice of wood for the feet, to the final stages of hand finishing in production, including individual studding on our Chesterfield Sofa range.

Forest Sofa have been manufacturing the classic chesterfields for over 70 years. The studding and deep buttoning of our Chesterfield sofas is done by hand and are made to order in a choice of natural aniline dyed leather. Each piece of our Chesterfield Sofas are made using the best available products, using solid seasoned beach wood and individually placed serpentine springs to create a premium product. Forest Sofa have been employing highly skilled upholsters since we first opened our doors, over 50 years ago. All of our products are intricately upholstered with expertise and attention to detail with only the highest quality of leather hides and fabrics used. With access to the UK's top mills, and a wide range of tanning facilities throughout Europe, Forest Sofa offers a number of different upholstery options for our clients. All of our sofas can be upholstered in either Leather or fabric, with the availability to have a leather colour developed if it doesn't already exist.

Each one of our sofas is built to a standard that our customers have come to expect. Each one of our beds is built using a solid hardwood frame, solid wooden feet and are available in a variety of premium aniline leathers. At Forest Sofa we have been manufacturing high quality furniture for over 50 years. Over this time our manufacturing technique has been improved and perfected. Over this period of time, Forest Sofa has developed a large number of products for our customers to choose from, including Sofas; sofa beds; chairs and even a number of bespoke items on request. Our products have been sold worldwide and have been seen in a number of high-end hotels and restaurants in England and beyond.

The Forest Sofa product range has evolved greatly over the past 50 years, with the most significant change over that period happening just 7 years ago. Forest Sofa was approached to manufacture a range of commercial furniture to be used in the hotel contract market. Working with interior designers we created a range of bedroom chairs and reception furniture that was selected by one of the UK's premium hotel groups. As a result of our success in the hotel sector, we looked to diversify and expand into offering bar stools, tables and dining furniture as well as offering a full bespoke manufacture and design service.

Forest Sofa Ltd is an ever growing company, with us recently facilitating a secondary large factory. We are always looking for new and innovative individuals to join our team. Typical upholstery requirements included, Fabric Beds / Headboards, Fabric and Leather Sofas and Chairs, Leather Chesterfields. Piecework offering with typical earning's between 350 and 500 pw (uncapped).

As well as domestic brands, Forest Sofa also supply to B2B companies such as Forest Contract - we have a large team of skilled and experienced employees which together help to create luxury brands.

Forest Sofa are not only the proud suppliers of the highly recognised domestic brands, but are also the suppliers of one of the UK's leading contract furniture suppliers. Manufacturing in house provides the flexibility to accommodate express orders, undertake bespoke manufacturing and offer a vast range of materials and colours in both contract leathers and contract fabrics. We understand the importance of safety and durability and all of our products surpass the required UK commercial fire and safety regulations BS5852 or CRIB5, suitable for all venues with the exception of inside prison cells, mental health institutions and some offshore sites*.

Forest Sofa is primarily a family run business that has been manufacturing furniture for over 50 years. Our Manchester factory was initially the hub of our production but due to continuous growth, Forest Sofa expanded to a second factory based in Blackburn, enabling us to have the capacity to manufacture large quantities of furniture, as well at the highest quality with our team of specialist workers. All items featured on this site are individually hand-made in our Greater Manchester or Blackburn factories.

All of our sofas are distributed through our long standing courier providers who deliver nationwide. Each one of our sofas has access to a large network of couriers who work on a ten day working service and deliver nationwide.

Our team here at Forest Sofa, are experienced workmen with years of skill and perfected craftsmanship, therefore when it comes to sourcing our own materials, whether it's the timber for creating the frame, the foam or fibre for the padding of the product or the fabric or leather for upholstery, our team only source and select the very highest quality to ensure all of our products are made to the standard we believe our clients deserve. The production of our frames is one of the very first steps of our sofa construction, and is arguably the most important.
