Since opening on North St in 2012 we have restored, rebuilt, updated and repaired all sorts of styles of furniture from the last 200 years. We work using traditional upholstery methods as well as modern and custom designs. We also make window, booth and camper van seating to your design, make and refill cushions and replace webbing and springs. We sell a wide range of fabrics including Romo, Villa Nova, Harlequin, Linwood, Scion, Sanderson, Kirkby Design and Warwick as well as leathers and vinyls.
Emma did a wonderful job on my very precious and sentimental chair. It looks even better than I expected, she couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended!
Bit of social history today. A 1908 newspaper used as stuffing in this Edwardian chaise. Includes an article about a sudden rise in death from influenza and how clerks and office workers should stay at home.
I'm lucky enough to be able to work alone, behind locked doors and had a big queue of pieces waiting when the lockdown started. Thi s jungle chaise was the last of the backlog and now for the first time since I opened in 2012 I haven't got much on.
This elegant armchair was a bit of a transformation, the second one this month with nothing salvageable apart from the springs.
