We are a family-owned business, trading for over eight generations, and bring a wealth of experience and the highest standards to all the work we do. The Abbey group workshops are based in Romford, Essex and we offer delivery around the UK and an international export service. Our history spans over a century of experience and knowledge of restoration and manufacturing. The many skills that are needed to restore each piece are as much a part of our business today as they were eight generations ago.
We begin with a free and no obligation consultation, and then take a brief and produce designs that will be amended until we are sure that the finished piece will meet your exact requirements. No piece is too large, too small or too unusual - and our master craftsmen relish a challenge! We have produced furniture for homes, churches, hotels and offices; projects have ranged from tea caddies for The Savoy to a portable storage chest for shooting accessories. Once a design is agreed and the materials, finishes, veneers and colour samples have been submitted to you and approved, we then start work on your piece.
With decades of experience we understand and appreciate those unique passions we all feel for treasured possessions; whether it be a valuable historic family heirloom, or simply a much loved household item. That is why we at Abbey group pride ourselves in selecting exactly the right restoration technique to bring each piece back to its original condition. We work with antiques and modern wood furniture. No matter what the size, type or value of each item our master craftsmen use their extensive skills to lovingly restore each piece.
After a flood at my mother's house Abbey collected the dining room table and 8 chairs and a dresser that had got water damage. They have just brought them back and they are as good as new. The chairs were newly upholstered and everything looks wonderful. A very professional service by lovely helpful people. Would highly recommend them.
We had 4 dining chairs that were Re-padded and I have to say the workmanship was second to none. no soggy bottom for us!. great communication, emails calls and the items were picked - up and dropped off. very happy customer and would highly recommend x
I have been providing HR Services to Lisa at the Abbey group for quite some time now, and during this time I have always found Lisa to be very mindful of HR best practise, the Companies legal Obligation, ensuring the Company is compliant with UK Employment Law and meeting its Client Contractual obligations. Lisa has set in place good foundations to build on best practise to now be able to drive productivity through employee engagement.
Congratulations to Darren Harris for winning Employee of the Month for January.
