Futon Company began life in 1980 and has been supplying quality futons and small space living furniture for over 40 years. Ever since the start, we've been a small British company specialising in innovative space saving furniture, unique textiles and ingenious accessories. Almost all of it is designed in house, or by designers we have come to know over the years. As new dwellings grow smaller we have become ever more focused on being the experts in small space living. The futon mattresses are still made by hand in our London workshop, and today's futon is a far cry from the original 100% organic cotton version.

Wood, like any other natural and porous material, continues to absorb and to release humidity throughout its life. Occasional imperfections may occur and will contribute to the charm of your Futon Company furniture. Variations in wood grain, texture & colour, knots and other NATURALLY occurring characteristics are inherent to wood. Futon Company consciously selects a specific wood quality that adds more character to its designs.
