We welcome volunteers with all abilities to participate in the Scheme. We provide offer warehouse, retail work, up-cycling and carpentry opportunities and we welcome applications from people who have experienced mental ill-health and those with physical disabilities. Richmond Furniture Scheme is a furniture recycling charity that help people requiring social and economic assistance in the borough of Richmond upon Thames and its surrounding areas. We sell used and nearly new, donated furniture and household goods at affordable prices.
We are a local furniture recycling charity based in the borough of Richmond. Our philosophy is to help those in need in the community to access quality furniture at a reasonable price. Our doors are however open to everyone. We welcome donations of furniture that you no longer need and also hope that you will want to come and browse in our showroom. Additionally, in support of our sustainable objectives, we run a workshop called Carousel where we give new life to once-loved furniture by repairing and up-cycling selected pieces of furniture.
Our showroom is open to everyone and the stock is constantly changing. We hold a wide range of furniture, from antiques to vintage to modern for your house or garden. We have a stock of mirrors, pictures, lamps and bric-a-brac to help personalise your home. You might just find a hidden gem that is perfect for you. And more importantly, you will know that you are supporting a worthy cause.
