Carp-A-Tex has its roots way back in 1956, when carpet fitters Eric Marsh and Cyril Wicks were offered a contract to manage the flooring and curtain work for local brewery Simonds the Brewers. The two of them provided and fitted the curtains, flooring and furniture for all the Simonds pubs and hotels across the UK. It was from the success of this off-chance contract that Carp-A-Tex was born, when Cyril Wicks decided to turn it into a limited company a few years later. Berkshire County Council soon heard about our superior flooring work and appointed Carp-A-Tex as the first port of call to carry out any flooring work on behalf of the council, including schools, hospitals and residential homes.
