Parquet flooring is one of the most sought after service from Urbane Living. The design possibilities are infinite and can be more elaborate with marquetry. Even simple designs like herringbone wood flooring and Chevron can add a layer of interest to your interior design. Our installation photo gallery show a small selection of parquet and panel patterns. To create something a little special consider a more elaborate design in an entrance hall or study. Examples include Mansion Weave and Basket Weave or Cubes. 2 line boarders provide an elegant feature in hallways and around a fireplace.

A vast range of Solid and Engineered wood flooring many certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). All wood floor products can be customised to your requirements. Choose narrow boards to extra wide boards up to 800mm wide. Generally available in 3 grades; Prime Grade Floors with little colour variation, Rustic A with some knots and our Rustic AB grade which will have more knots and character. We are well respected in the trade for having some of the widest boards available in Oak, Walnut flooring, Teak, Elm and Chestnut.

The screed, or more commonly referred to as the load-bearing layer, constitutes the support which must provide give resistance. The resistance is provided against various mechanical stresses imparted by the floor itself. The screed also provides resistance against flooring in use, such as static and dynamic loads. The screed is always laid on a vapour membrane (on upper levels) or on a vapour barrier (on ground floors or above basements).
