Original Features are one of the UK's leading suppliers of Victorian geometric tiles. We've been helping customers create beautiful pathways and floors for over 30 years. Original Features was one of the very first suppliers of Victorian-style geometric tiles in the UK. We started life in the mid-1980s as a small shop in Crouch End, North London, selling tiles to local customers keen to restore their 19th and early 20th-century homes to their former glory. These days our customers buy our tiles not just for restoration projects, but for contemporary refurbishments too: with so many colours and shapes to choose from, you can modernise one of our traditional designs or create a completely original one of your own.

We always recommend that you arrange to have your tiles laid by a professional. On this page we list details of tilers we know have experience of laying our tiles. We have also included links to external websites that may be able to help you to find a professional tiler in your area. If your tiles are going to be laid outside, please note that this is definitely a job for the summer months! Whatever type of project you are planning, we strongly advise you to book your tiler well in advance. Interior floors should be sealed with a non-permanent acrylic polish such as HG Protective Coating, Satin Finish. We do not recommend the use of permanent or impregnating sealers, as these can be impossible to remove. A floor that has been sealed should be cleaned using the appropriate maintenance cleaner recommended by the manufacturer of the sealer you have used. If you have used HG Protective Coating, Satin Finish as suggested above, then you should use HG Shine Restoring Tile Cleaner. Avoid using general household or floor cleaners, as some of these are very aggressive and may remove the sealer, which will then need to be reapplied.

Olde English tiles are geometric and encaustic (patterned) clay tiles. Manufactured in very much the same way as they were in Victorian times, our tiles are amazingly versatile and extremely hard-wearing. Our tiles are available in more shapes, colours and sizes than other ranges of geometric tiles - up to 25 stunning colours for the most popular square, triangle and rectangle tile shapes. The range also includes octagon and hexagon tiles, round edge tiles, skirting tiles and step tread tiles. Olde English tiles are the only range of geometric tiles available in the UK that are fully vitrified.
