Cellulose filler is mixed with the final fine sanding dust from the floor for an invisible repair on hardwood floors. Resin filler is used for square edged floorboards because of its superior side bonding properties. We usually recommend brushes over rollers for one off jobs as they give much better results in most domestic situations: you can control the amount of finish more accurately, spot the odd bit of debris, get into corners etc. with a brush. Rollers can cause foaming and require some familiarisation to get good results.
