Spruce Carpets

Spruce Carpets have been providing high quality affordable flooring since 2005. We offer new end of season and roll end/remnant carpets that would otherwise be going to landfill. We also order in bespoke flooring to meet your specific requirements. We are a social enterprise providing training and work experience opportunities for people who have found themselves excluded from the job market.

Established in 2005, Spruce Carpets provide consumers and businesses with high quality flooring at low prices whilst helping the community and environment. Spruce Carpets are Scotland's only carpet re-use and recycling social enterprise and registered charity. We re-use and recycle floor coverings to reduce landfill, provide affordable carpets to all and to provide training and volunteering opportunities for people who have been excluded from the labour market and want to work.

Spruce Carpets provide flooring to Housing Associations, Voluntary Sector, Local Government and Fit Out Contractors amongst many other miscellaneous private sector businesses. Our fitting team (who are all Disclosure Scotland checked) have years of experience to make sure the job goes as smoothly as possible. The bespoke ordering service means that we can source a wide range of commercial carpet, commercial carpet tiles or industrial vinyl to suit your exact requirements or choose re-use carpet tiles or new remnant vinyl to save money and the planet.

We sell domestic and commercial carpets. If you are on a budget then choose from our huge showroom selection of brand new end of season styles/off cuts or order in something to specifically meet your exact requirements. Our showroom stock is VAT free and carpet prices are no more than 5.38 per square meter (with the exception of tartan carpets). Spruce's FREE measuring service ensures a perfect fit every time. Choose to purchase just the carpet (available for collection or delivery) or choose our expert fitting service.

We sell new and reclaimed carpet tiles. Carpet tiles are mainly used in office spaces and are useful if there is spillage on a tile as the stained tile can be uplifted individually and replaced, therefore, we always recommend buying a few extra to use as spares. New tiles are ordered in specifically to meet your individual technical specification, i.e. anti-static, and colour requirements. We offer a FREE measuring service then our sales team would work out a quote for you for supply and fit. Our reclaimed tiles are used tiles that have been removed from offices (thus saving landfill space).

Our environmental purpose is integral to our existence. This activity generally diverts over 100 tonnes of floor coverings from being sent to landfill each year. We do this by selling brand new roll ends/remnants of carpets and vinyl that would otherwise go to landfill and by re-claiming re-use carpet tiles from offices that would also be destined for landfill. Spruce Carpets are fully accredited holders of REVOLVE (Scotland's national re-use quality standard sponsored by Zero Waste Scotland).

We currently do not receive any government funding and depend on grants and donations to allow us to carry out this important work. We want to increase our activities working with people to gain employment and have better outcomes in life. We want to offer support and practical help so that they can live their lives in a productive way.
