James Rose Oriental Carpets was originally established in Altrincham Cheshire in 1975. James's great love of oriental carpets had driven him to read and study providing a wealth of knowledge rare in this country. With our continued love and interest in rugs we constantly strive to give a personal customer service, and are renowned for sourcing a wide variety of beautiful oriental floor cushions rugs and carpets including bespoke sizes and designs for customers all over the UK. In addition to our extensive range of hand picked oriental and contemporary carpets we also fit and supply a great range of wooden and laminate flooring, all fitted by ourselves as we believe no fitters take more care of our customers like we do.

In 2006 the business relocated to a quirky garden centre in Lymm, which has sadly closed, bringing us to the beautiful location of Knutsford, with its stunning picture card streets and lovely buildings. In 2017 James Rose now offers a totally online service. We now can offer a much larger range of stock at more affordable prices and are happy to bring a selection of carpets of your choosing to your home so you can select the perfect rug without the need to move out of your home.

After many years experience of supplying and fitting wooden flooring our promise to you is that we only supply and fit very best quality products giving you access to a fantastic range at affordable prices. All fitting is done by ourselves, with our 20 years experience in flooring we know no outside fitter will give the customer care and personal service we give. We also give free estimates and home visits so we may survey the site to ensure product suitability. Offering a wide range of flooring from top suppliers such as Ted Todd, Havwoods, Kenton, Woodpecker and Xylo flooring, plus many more, between us both we will find the product to suit your home and purse.

For day to day maintenance, light vacuuming (preferably with the nozzle attachment of your vacuum), will do the important job of removing surface dirt. Moths love natural fibres and prefer dark places so it's advisable to vacuum the back of the carpet all around the edges and under surrounding furniture to guard against this. It's also a good idea to turn your carpet regularly to avoid fading from bright sunlight and to even out worn patches. Please use cups underneath furniture and avoid sharp castors as all these will crush the carpets fibres.

We carry out most of the cleaning ourselves on our own premises and occasionally in people's homes, depending on the size of the item. All cleaning is done carefully by hand using a specialist shampoo which enhances and brightens the vegetable dyes and leaves your carpets and rugs looking and feeling clean and refreshed. With many years experience in restoring oriental rugs and carpets we offer a full quality professional service: re-fringing or removing fringing, overcasting sides, stopping fraying edges and re-knotting selected areas.
