With a generation of experience in wood flooring we aim to streamline the process of designing and installing your perfect floor. We work closely with partners such as Ted Todd and Quickstep to provide a huge choice of gorgeous real wood, laminate and vinyl floors direct from our family to yours. We have been very lucky to continue to service our customers and install safely over the last few months. After this unprecedented year, we have made the decision to close the showroom for two weeks. Our staff have worked so hard to provide excellent service under difficult conditions, ensuring the safety of our customers and allowing us to continue trading.

Woodworks by Ted Todd showcases some of the most beautiful reclaimed and new hardwood flooring ranges that we have seen. Woodworks was born as Victorian Woodworks in 1988 and specialised in re-working reclaimed hardwood into new floors. The range now comprises of Reclaimed wood floors, wood cladding, a stunning range of new wood floors and if you really cannot find a floor to fall in love with, Woodworks will produce a bespoke floor for you. Some of these floors can really tell a story with a floor recently being created from beams found in the old war office in Whitehall, London.

With 22 years experience in the wood flooring business and many more years of combined experience of our exclusive sub-contracted fitters, we can provide a full installation service and even project manage your job. We feel lucky to be able to offer a full design through installation service so that you have only one point of contact and peace of mind about delivery and installation dates. We also offer a 12 month warranty on our installations. After an initial estimate we may arrange for a technical inspection where we can discuss the job in more detail with areas such as sub-floor type and preparation, plans for new skirting boards and finishing touches such as door thresholds being covered in more detail.

Ensuring that your sub-floor is properly prepared can have a major impact on the look and performance of your new wood, laminate or vinyl floor. The majority of products require the sub floor to be level to within 3mm over a 2m radius to ensure that you benefit from the manufacturer's warranty. Poorly prepared sub-floors can result in floors that bounce, squeak and result in open joints, regardless of the quality of your new floor. We are pleased to offer a technical survey and floor preparation service as part of our service.

From Victorian Herringbone blocks that require loving restoration to providing a bespoke colour finish on a brand new floor our team will always work with you to achieve the best possible results. Using sanding equipment from top names such as Lagler, Kunzle & Tasin and Bona we are able to guarantee a virtually dust free system. As most of our work takes place in occupied homes we will always work in a clean and respectful manner in your home, providing dust sheets and removing rubbish from site.
