Timber frame is an increasingly popular choice for UK house builders and it currently accounts for around a quarter of all new homes. The inherent benefits of timber as a construction material are well established. For any building to have an energy efficient, healthy, moisture free building envelope there is a clear need to manage the balance of Heat, Air and Moisture movement (HAMM) throughout the building's life cycle from design, construction, completion and use.

The A. Proctor Group has been developing vapour permeable membranes and vapour control layers for over 25 years and have condensation control solutions for all areas of the building envelope. Our Roofshield breathable membrane offers the highest vapour permeability available, whilst also being air permeable. Our Wraptite range of products assist in achieving excellent airtightness results, whilst also allowing water vapour to escape, forming an external airtight barrier. Reflectashield & Reflectatherm are class leading reflective membranes that reduce insulation requirements.

We have over 50 years experience in the Thermal Insulation sector. We are consistently specified in the building & construction sector, as well as servicing several niche markets via our Custom Aerogel Insulation team. We offer a complete range of Technical Services in support of our Thermal Insulation products, including U-value, SAP, SBEM & Non-Domestic EPC calculations. Our advanced fabrication facilities offer the ability to cut our Spacetherm aerogel insulation to almost any required size, thickness or shape.

Rail Infrastructure Managers have to work through some of the harshest conditions in an attempt to keep the rail network open. This has seen innovations in many areas, with points heating products now being a tried and tested technology deployed by infrastructure engineers. The effectiveness of points heaters can now be enhanced further through using our Tracktherm Point Heat Retaining Strip, which is clipped into place over the rail and heating electrode, directing more of the heat energy into the rail.
