Engineered flooring is made from layers of ply that are bonded together and topped with a layer of real hardwood, giving it a look that's identical to solid wood flooring with the benefit of being Engineered. Engineered flooring is highly durable and can be sanded back and refinished to restore it back to its original beauty in the event of wear and tear. Engineered wood has a greater resistance to moisture and water than solid wood, making it suitable for use in bathrooms and kitchens. It is simple to clean and there is a huge choice of woods and colours for you to choose from.
The main issue to remember when combining a wooden floor with UFH is that the surface temperature should not exceed 27 degrees celsius. We do not recommend solid wood floors with UFH. Yes, all floors change to some degree, depending on species, type of finish, and the extent to which they are in contact with direct sunlight. Most floors will experience a change of colour and tone down over time, meaning that obvious differences in colour or tone at an early stage of having laid the floor will gradually become more subtle as the floor ages.
