Our antique carpets are selected with great care. They have all been cleaned and, if necessary, repaired to a high standard. We do not use chemical treatments and we always avoid pieces which are tinted to disguise wear. The pieces on our website present only a fraction of our stock, so if you do not see what you are looking for, please contact our gallery. An important part of our business is sourcing special items for private collections, especially tribal and village material with a focus on Turkoman, Kurdish and South Persian weavings.
The gallery offers a wide range of services which include washing and repair or conservation of rugs. This is a highly skilled process undertaken by experienced repairers, and great care is taken to match the colours and follow the weaving techniques of each piece. Restoration and conservation of textiles, including mounting, can also be provided; again, experience and skill are crucial to the success of the work undertaken. Other services include free valuations on rugs brought into the gallery, free interior design advice and sourcing of pieces that might not be available in the large stock.
