Ideally rooms need to be clear of all furniture, (although we can quote for this if required and all furniture needs to be empty so we can move it). Pictures or any other items off the wall. Clear access to the area to be fitted. The old flooring uplifted and the room swept or hoovered ready to receive your new flooring. Yes we can but we do need an amount of space to work in so we can fit the flooring. All items of furniture need to be empty so that they are easier to lift and less chance of damage.
We cannot recycle your old bed at the moment but are working to find a new operator for this service. The local councils will collect old beds for approx. 30.00. We will help move your old bed to your garage or your storage space until it is collected by them. Again, unlike most of our competitors, our delivery specialists will unwrap and assemble divan beds. Bed frames bought as self-assembly items are designed to be easily assembled by yourself and are delivered to your room of choice with simple-to-follow instructions.

If we could give it more than 5 stars we would ! We had just had our lounge fully decorated ( Ceiling, Walls and woodwork ) Complete refurb ! We were both very worried that the walls would end up being scuffed by the new carpet being laid and the newly painted skirting board scratched by the carpet fitters stretching tools . BUT, how wrong we were to worry !.... We had the "A-Team" arrive ANDY & DAVE.. These two fitters are the very best you can get. They were very polite and very caring . They took our very heavy large black unit into the garden with great care and placed it on a piece of old carpet to protect it ... The removal of the old carpet and underlay went without a hitch. When it come to fitting the new carpet and underlay they both checked with us both first, that the carpet was the correct colour before fitting...... After all the work was completed they asked us both to check that we were happy with it. On very close inspection, we could not find one scuff mark on the walls or paint nicks on the skirtings etc... We were indeed worrying about nothing, Thank you so much Andy and Dave for a truly amazing job. Thank you also Pocklington Carpets for getting the job done in such a short time frame, given our late response to the quotation.

Booked in fitting for wrong date, only booked half the flooring in to be fit and missed other flooring off, poorly fit carpets with gaps around skirting, not tight upto skirting in areas, bent door plates and creases in carpet, hard flooring missing trim, trim not finisged on ends, floor completely missing behind toilet, bouncy in areas, saw marks in areas. We owed £200 for underlay which we said we didnt want to pay until these issues we sorted out, then we received a factually incorrect threatening letter from them.
GIVEN THAT WE HAVE SPENT MANY 000'S£ we would expect better, but unfortunately not. We wish we hadn't have used Pocklington Carpets to floor our entire house, their customer service and fitting of the flooring is nothing short of appalling. STAY AWAY and use someone that does a decent job and appreciates your business.

Really good service and reasonable prices
Had lounge, hall and two bedroom carpets fitted yesterday. Amazing service only took the morning . Really pleased with the results would highly recommend.
Just had our hall,stairs & landing redone great job, listened to our ideas & came up with great solutions. Have been using them for many years always good value for money & willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommend

I wish I could write the same as others on the reviews, I can't recommend this company which really is down to the fitters. Lack of communication meant our carpets where a day later than agreed. No carpet fitted into floor level cupboards and expensive fitting costs.
Recently bought carpets for our stairs, landing and main bedroom. Absolutely love them. They feel so luxurious. Service was great too. Would recommend people to shop local, why go anywhere else when we have Pock Carpets on the doorstep
New grey framed fascias on roller blinds add a great contrast to the lighter grey fabric. Fitted today in my daughters new extension. Trying to keep busy during lockdown.
Sheep rescued and cannot wait to welcome customers back. Still awaiting re opening. Hopefully not long to wait now if the numbers keep dropping.
Corona Virus Update - From November 5th 2020 Pocklington Carpets will be closed to the public from Thursday 5th of November until Wed 2nd December or when the lock down is ended. We are hoping to be open again to the public from the Wed 2nd December. We are not booking any home appointments during.
Tricky Circular landing that was done through our Haxby store today. Fiddly with all the spindles but looks great. Well done Mark and Adrian Great job!
