Dear Restoration is a private company run by me, Aidan Dear. For over 25 years, my team and I have skilfully restored antique sash and casement windows in both private homes and heritage buildings. We even do doors. We are passionate about helping our clients to retain the charm and character sash windows provide, whether in a commercial or residential property. We offer world-class craftsmanship, traditional values and the highest levels of customer service at every stage of the process. Most of our customers have come to through recommendation, so we must be doing something right.
The 46 windows in this Grade 1 listed historic building had been sadly neglected over the years. The college was looking to vastly improve the functionality of the windows without compromising the character of the building, which dates back to 1524. Working closely with the College, English Heritage, the architect and the main contractor, the work was successfully completed on time and on budget, and we're proud to say exceeded everyone's expectations. The ten windows of this 1908 property had been well maintained over the years, so all the customer wanted was to upgrade the window's draught-proofing abilities.
Dear Restoration are specialists in the maintenance and replacement of traditional sash windows, and the manufacture of bespoke timber windows and doors. Often clients call us when their sash windows have deteriorated due to exposure to the elements, when their windows have been painted over so many times that they no longer operate smoothly, or when the frames rattle and the draughts breeze in.
