Harris Windows and Joinery Limited was founded in 1971 by Graham Charles Harris. Graham bought the current site in Kingswood in 1979 and the Company has been based here since then. Paul Harris is the Managing Director and has been working for Harris Windows for 28 years, he started in the factory as an apprentice, is now a fully qualified joiner, has fitted windows and now manages the day to day running of the Company. All our staff are employed by us, fully DBS checked and not sub-contracted in like some of our rivals.
We specialise in bespoke timber windows, and replacement windows, typically with aluminium inserts. All our windows are made to measure and therefore can be adapted to become more than just a plug for the hole in the wall - they become an entire architectural feature, pleasing to the eye both internally and externally. We use hardwood Sapele, oak and douglas fir timber. Windows can be traditional flush casements ranging through to windows incorporating high-security shoot bolts. Glass can range from traditional leaded lights to internal Georgian bars or face mounted external Georgian bars.
Harris Windows specialise in the manufacture of bespoke timber windows, doors, bifold doors, French doors and sub frames in our on-site joinery workshop. Joinery items are prepped and painted in our on-site spray room and can be painted in a RAL colour of your choice. Window and door furniture of your choice can be chosen from our catalogue, window locks are an optional extra. We use a water based gloss matt paint.
Like or windows we pride ourselves in the quality and craftsmanship which is utilised within all our door products, PVC doors, timber doors and aluminium. This leads to a range of doors which not only look good but will be as strong and secure in the future as they are on the day they are first installed. The door is used many times a day to both welcome or vacate a property. The door has also many other roles, whilst being a barrier to the unwelcome, the door needs to be strong, friendly, welcoming and weather tight.
