For many years i have been repairing old sash/casement windows and wooden doors in London and surrounding areas. With years of experience in the area of sash window repairs, i have grown to understand that windows are one of the most important, if not the most important part of any house there is. It brings in the light to the house and shows you the world as well. Some people tend to forget it, and very often the windows are left on their own to rot until they just become unpractical and then it is finally the time to change them and throw them away.
The timber is being restored back to its natural and original state, all the rotten wood gets changed, then we fill it up with wood filler, seal it from outside to stop any water from getting in, strenghthen the whole frame, routing and trimming done to level up uneven sashes, weight adjustment is done, box repaired if needed, sanding down to take out all the possible imperfections, change all cords/springs, locks/safety restrictors then we fix draught proof brushes all around the top and bottom sash and finally we use the best quality undercoat/primer and paint to cover it and give the sash window a new look from the outside and the inside.
