Cornwall Glass (Manufacturing) Ltd part of the Cornwall Glass group has been established for over 40 years and has built a great reputation, both throughout the Southwest and in the local area. We specialise in providing quality glass products such as Insulated Glass Units. We are looking for a full-time, experienced Lorry Driver to work approximately 40 hours a week from Cornwall Glass Manufacturing Plymouth. You will be completing all tasks and duties required for driving around the local area, as well as some long-distance jobs.
Each doors' glass unit (that sits in the frame), is made with Low- E glass. This is glass with a microscopically thin transparent coating that reflects heat back into your home. Drafts are reduced thanks to fitted draft resistant seals whether you are having a solid front door or French Window style fitted. You'll feel safe and secure with multi-point locks which meet the British Standard for security. We are FENSA registered which means you are guaranteed a 10 year warranty on everything that our friendly, efficient, fitters install.

With the scale and capacity to manufacture architectural IGU's alongside standard units, our onsite toughening furnace handles sheets up to 2.8m x 4.2m with an IGU line handling units up to 2.7m x 5m giving us unrivalled product capability in the South West. Our Chough Tough toughened or toughened laminated glass is used as standard for all our Balustrading. This popular feature can be used in garden patio terraces, external and internal balconies, rooftop gardens/terraces and swimming pool surround. Available with a choice of wooden or stainless steel handrails, alternatively you may opt for no handrail.

Our in house capabilities mean we can supply the largest laminated glass in the UK. Specialising in bespoke, oversize projects for IGU's, canopy and floor glass, walkways, partitions and architectural features. Back painted glass has a number of applications ranging from; spandrels, wall panels and partitions. Our state of the art, on site spraying booth and professional spray painting team, enables us to produce the highest quality spray paint finishes. Our range of DGU and TDU's can be supplied with low E coatings to reduce heat loss and enable glazed facades to conform and exceed building regulations.
Our Waterjet cutting is perfect for quick cutting of large units, special shapes and bespoke glass projects. Used predominantly for socket cutouts, door hinge cut outs and notching the 3 axis cutter allows cutting of any 2D shape from design or template, onto glass. The low heat conductivity and brittleness of glass means it is not easy to process and cutting glass with conventional methods comes with significant drawbacks due to relatively low scribing quality (micro-cracks, chipping) and accuracy.
We offer secondary glazing for Domestic and Commercial buildings from Granada Glazing and Incarnation Window systems suppliers. Both of these companies offer a wide range of solutions specifically for secondary glazing. A practical solution to improving insulation and reducing noise levels making it up to 80% quieter. Offering bespoke, discrete, secondary glazing with an internal window that is fitted to an existing single, double of triple glazed window. The frames are manufactured from durable aluminum and come with a five year warranty including the glazing and a two year warranty on moving parts.
