Chelsea Secondary Glazing

Secondary glazing is nothing new. In the 19th century, many buildings were constructed with internal secondary windows incorporated as part of the original design. When you use secondary double-glazing on windows, you stand to generate plenty of advantages. The rewards contain significant ranges of acoustic sounds reduction, draft proofing, thermal insulation, enhanced safety and reduction of airborne dust. We design units based on individual requirements for all consumers; tested and certified in our very own factory, we ensure that we provide the highest quality control standards where each individual is certified to carry out expert level of work.

One of the main essentials are that the windows mimic the external windows, it requires the middle joining bar (transom bar) to aligned perfectly with primary window, it ensures that none of the elegance of the main window is overshadowed by the secondary window and blends in well with any room. With our recent innovation we have come to a stage where we can provide our consumers with an easy to clean internal secondary sash window with out the flaws of the conventional system. We also offer a heavy-duty secondary system for commercial use, which can house thicker glass and or be double-glazed.

Using Reveal Fix frame formats, attaching the unit to the sidewall of the reveal (rather than to the face of the primary window) enables the secondary unit to be positioned away from the primary window. This greatly improves sound insulation. We have carried out tests using specialist decibel meters & measured with accuracy the decibels traveling into the property before and after several installations using specialist stadip-silence glass. We are proud to report that in all tests carried out, our windows eliminated a minimum of 77% of noise pollution traveling in and out of buildings.
