Whether you are looking to buy a heat pump to heat your home or your business, we can install a more cost effective and reliable alternative to traditional gas, LPG or oil fired central heating. Every installation is different so talk to us about your requirements and we will design a renewable heating system which will work best for your home or business. Renewable heating is not only proven to significantly reduce energy bills: you will also get paid to switch through the government's Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
Finn Geotherm is East Anglia's leading heat pump supplier and installer. We are one of the longest established renewable heating companies in the UK heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) industries. We have developed a level of expertise in ground source heat pumps and air source heat pumps far in excess of our competitors. Established in 2006, we've gained years of installation experience across virtually every type of property imaginable.
Ground Source Heat Pumps work by absorbing energy from within the ground beneath your property via a collector loop. The energy is transferred from the collector loop to a heat pump, which provides year-round round ample hot water for your radiators or underfloor heating and, of course, your hot water taps. They are also proven to significantly reduce heating bills compared to traditional gas, LPG or oil fired heating. The Lmpss range of Eli and T ground source heat pumps offer us the flexibility to meet the needs of larger sized domestic installations and very significant commercial projects.
We are one of only a few companies trusted to install these two much acclaimed ranges, which are ideally suited to the UK climate. An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) works like a fridge in reverse. It takes energy from the air around you and, using a system of heat exchangers and compressors with a refrigerant, multiplies this up to heat enough hot water for both heating systems and hot water taps. Air is pulled over a series of fine coils by a finely balanced fan unit. The coils contain a liquid refrigerant which absorbs the heat from the air.
Lmpss heat pumps have always been the designs which other companies have strived to replicate. We are the UK's only approved installer of these award-winning systems, which provide ground source (also known as geothermal) heating. The collector loop is placed under the ground in a parallel array, similar to an underfloor heating system, or via a vertical bore (also known as a borehole). A mixture of water and antifreeze is pumped through this. As the liquid flows through the underground pipes, it picks up the temperature of the earth around it, typically returning to the heat pump at about 6°C.
Our renewable heating solutions are designed to provide constant, low level, energy efficient and cost effective heating so your home stays warm and cosy all the time - without the worry of how much this will cost. Renewable heating will not only significantly reduce your heating bills: you will also get paid to switch to this more environmentally friendly form of heating. Through the government's Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) you will be entitled to seven years of quarterly payments for the amount of clean, green heat produced.
Ground source and air source heat pumps are equally suited to new build and retro-fit projects. Involve us at the outset of your project and we will work with you throughout and provide you with all the support, advice and technical information you need to incorporate heat pumps into your construction. We run a series of CPD seminars for architects to provide them with the very latest information on the technology to aid their professional development. Contact us to find out more details and dates.
Heating commercial premises with a heat pump can significantly reduce heating costs and increase your organisation's green credentials. The low level constant heat will also create a better working environment for employees. A ground or air source heat pump can reduce the cost of heating your business because less energy is needed to generate the same amount of heat. You will also be shielded long term from the volatility in fossil fuel prices, which, when rising, can generate a considerable extra cost to a business.
