PTS operates both in the UK and internationally, in three distinct areas; Highway Assessment Surveys, Materials Testing and Certification. We operate our UKAS accredited laboratory, specialising in advanced asphalt testing and mixture development, from our base in Preston, Lancashire. Certification services offer ISO 9001, 14001, Factory production control, CE Marking, Product assessment as part of Product Acceptance Scheme to MCHW SHW Volume 1 Clause 104.15 and 104.16. PTS undertook pavement surveys on the A12 Chelmsford to A120 widening scheme between Dec 2019 and June 2020.

Pavement Testing Services Ltd (PTS) was formed in 2002, starting with one Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), we have grown year on year becoming one of the UK's leading providers of highway infrastructure surveys, investigations, and assessments, with associated materials testing carried out in our UKAS Accredited Laboratory. PTS is a family-orientated business, with offices in Preston, Chichester and the Midlands. Following the acquisition of Saber (Asset Management) Ltd in 2019. PTS are now pleased to offer a full suite of accredited UKPMS condition surveys alongside our existing pavement engineering and structural surveying services. All our UKPMS surveys are conducted utilising the latest hand-held technology, our state of the art, accredited, and hugely popular survey management software ReGen, and we have a team of highly experienced, dedicated, and UKPMS accredited highways inspectors. PTS have the capability to carry out a full airside pavement investigation covering structural, surface and friction assessments in accordance with the CAA and ICAO guidance documentation.

In support of our core logging and pavements reports we offer the chance to test the strength of concrete cores by measuring the compressive strength and density in accordance with BS EN 12390-3:2009, BS EN 12390-1:2012,B S EN 12390-7:2009, BS EN 12504-1:2009. These results can be tied in to FWD data and give a good indication of the pavements load bearing performance. We are also UKAS accredited to take the concrete cores in accordance with BS EN 12504-1:2009. Pavement Testing services are providers of UKAS accredited certification to EN standards and assessment of innovative products for road construction products. Assessment and certification provides confidence to stakeholders and interested parties and gives the assurance of commitment to continual improvement through regular monitoring of processes.
