John Nicholls is the leading Independent Building & Plumbing Merchant operating via a network of ten Building & Timber and Plumbing & Heating Branches and four Kitchen & Bathroom Showrooms across Banbury, Bicester, Buckingham, Kidlington, Rugby and Witney. Since 1965 the business has grown from a one-man operation to a company with over 150 members of staff and we are very proud to still be a truly independent, family owned and run business.

Nicholls have had a presence in Bicester for over twenty five years. In 2016 we moved to bigger premises as a result of branch success and the increase in development Bicester has seen over the last ten years. Bicester has been hailed as the fastest growing town in Europe and we're proud to work with the tradesmen that have made this happen. Our plumbing branch is part of our new supersite on Telford Road and offers a building & timber merchant, a kitchen & bathroom showroom as well as a much larger plumbing & heating outlet.

Buckingham Plumbing is the newest plumbing & heating branch within the Nicholls group, opening in the summer of 2017. We stock an extensive range of plumbing and heating products including boilers, radiators, spares and underfloor heating from leading brands including Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Henrad, Stelrad and Luxusheat. As members of the Fortis Merchants Limited we have access to all of the major suppliers of plumbing and heating products and our Bathroom Solutions range allows us to bring their products to you at a competitive price.

In 2018 our Kidlington Plumbing branch was relocated along with the Bathroom Solutions showroom to larger premises with both being under the same roof. We want our customers to have access to more plumbing, heating and bathroom products. The increase in shop floor and warehousing area has allowed for an increase in core plumbing and heating stock from key ranges including Instinct and a bigger display of showers and boilers but more importantly a larger counter to serve you more efficiently. We stock an extensive range of plumbing and heating products including boilers, radiators, spares and underfloor heating from leading brands including Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Henrad, Stelrad and Luxusheat.

As well as extensive building and timber products Kidlington Building has a range of doors, wooden flooring and ironmongery on display as well as a prominent tool and workwear clothing display, ideal if you're not sure which product you're after. Our large Velux display area is situated on the first floor and holds a range of different sizes of Velux roof windows and accessories. Further down the industrial estate is our Kidlington Plumbing & Heating merchant and recently located, adjoining Bathroom Solutions showroom.

Rugby Building opened in 2012 and sits within a busy industrial estate on the outskirts of Rugby. Rugby Building has an extensive landscaping display that showcases a vast range of paving, decking and fencing we supply to help your customers create their dream garden setting. There is a large range of doors, wooden flooring and ironmongery to peruse as well as a tool and workwear clothing display. In early 2018 the John Nicholls Trade Kitchens showroom was unveiled and features kitchen displays of traditional and contemporary styles.

Banbury Building opened in 1965 and was the first branch of the Nicholls group. The branch has been trading for over 50 years and has evolved over that period ensuring it continues to offer its customers a wide range of building and timber products and everything else required to build from the ground-up. Banbury Building has an extensive range of bricks, blocks and paving within its 4000sqm yard from top suppliers including Forterra, Marshalls and Pavestone, several of which are on display so you and/or your customers can view these before purchasing.

Bicester Building opened in the summer of 2016 and is part of our large supersite on Telford Road in Bicester. We are a one-stop-shop for all your building and plumbing requirements with a large kitchen and bathroom showroom on site. We have an extensive range of displays at our Bicester branch including a large landscaping and paving area which showcases a range of natural stone, porcelain and concrete slabs. If you're looking at roof windows we have a working model of a Velux skylight that you can view.

The late chairman John Nicholls founded the company in 1965 with our first Building & Timber Merchant located on a 2.5 acre site on Overthorpe Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire and we still operate from this site to this day. Builder's merchanting is what we do and we are better equipped to service locally than anyone else in the area supplying everything you could possibly want at competitive prices.
