As cabinet makers we design and make elegant, beautiful kitchens, dressing rooms, studies, libraries, boot rooms and bespoke furniture. All commissions are handmade using traditional techniques, quality craftsmanship, and only the finest sustainable timber and materials. Everything is made in our superb workshop on the Somerset/Devon border.
After first studying at Rycotewood in Thame and a further 20 years of working in the furniture business, I took the plunge and set up Quantock Woodworks in 2009 with the aim of providing customers with superb design and great craftsmanship. We apply these core principles to all projects, and we get just as excited by creating large kitchens/dressing rooms as we do small bespoke pieces. We see all projects as real collaborations, and it is a thrilling process to see your ideas gradually coming to life.
At an initial meeting we aim to discuss your requirements, budget (if possible) and any other important aspects which might influence the design. After this we produce outline designs and guide prices and timber and hardware samples are sourced to help you choose the right approach. Once we receive your instruction to go ahead we produce accurate detailed drawings. On commissioning us, we agree dates, a works schedule and require a deposit. You are always welcome to visit the workshop to view your work in progress.
