Vale Garden Houses is a family business founded over 38 years ago and has steadily grown, developing and refining its designs and ideas to be one of the most respected and established conservatory companies in the U.K., being well known within the industry for the work we do. The family are still fully committed and working daily in the design and manufacture of our bespoke conservatories and orangeries. We now employ around 200 staff and openly encourage a teamwork approach throughout the business.
Once all components for our conservatories or orangeries have been completed in their individual workshops, they are brought together in our dedicated pre-installation area. This process is closely overseen by the project technician assigned to your project. Being truly bespoke structures, Vale believe this is the only way to ensure the attention to detail and quality is of the highest standard and enables all the joinery and metalwork to be checked for aesthetics, accuracy and functionality whilst still in our workshops.
Each and every one of our conservatories and orangeries is unique, designed to fulfil your requirement for living, whilst providing a design brief that will compliment your home. It's a fine balance in designing a structure appropriate in terms of style and size, yet at the same time taking on board your personal preferences and ideas. The designers understand what an important decision this project will be and know from experience that your new room will become the focal point for you and your family all year round.
In the 17th to the 19th centuries orangeries were symbols of prestige and wealth. They were fine structures with a distinguished classical architectural form that stood in the grounds of fashionable residences that were used for the growing of citrus trees. Today, the definition of an orangery is now also used to describe a glazed building which by its design and construction differs from a typical conservatory. To understand the distinction between the two, read our article on the difference between a conservatory and an orangery.
