Baileybridge provides beautiful bespoke carpentry and furniture. Whether this is a fully bespoke kitchen, fitted wardrobes or bookshelves, bespoke doors or a set or drawers, our bespoke carpentry service enables us to deliver the exact piece of furniture to fit your home perfectly. We do not only work with hard and soft wood, we also work with Parapan which is a high gloss solid acrylic material which we use for kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets etc. Parapan is durable and moisture-resistant so is especially suitable for kitchens and bathrooms.
Some of our Clients simply want us to 'make their ideas' happen and they have already designed the home they want. We are very good at taking a design brief and turning this into a project using a Client's ideas and we are very good at flushing these ideas out of our Clients. Others need help to clarify their interior design ideas and need us to weed out areas that will not work or add in a few 'missing bits' for them. Some know what they do not like but struggle to articulate what they do. We can help with any situation and we do so in a very quiet and consultative manner.
Baileybridge provides a full hard and soft landscaping service, whether this is just to provide paving or decking/terracing around the extension we have built, or a fully landscaped garden - large or small. We have extensive experience of creating individual designs for our Clients to complement their space and surroundings. Since much of our work involves creating open plan kitchen/living areas, extending these into the garden for an al-fresco dining area is a very natural thing to do, if the property lends itself to this.
We will take you through the potentially tricky process of defining and designing your loft conversion and every piece of work we carry out is done to a fixed price. This is all important when the work can have a lot of potentially unknown issues. We thoroughly survey your property and ensure that everything is considered and discussed with you and very importantly, included in the price. If you are in the early stages of considering a loft conversion you may also want to read our Do I even need a Loft Extension or Conversion? page.
Baileybridge builds a great many extensions in many different styles. We advise on all of the design aspects and use your vision to create drawings and take these through the Planning and Building Regulation process before carrying out the build. There is more to building house extensions than a lot of people think. Below we have shown the key build stages and explained a little about what is involved with each, in an effort to enlighten anyone thinking of embarking on such a project. Lighting is critical to creating the required ambiance to your home and is one of the most important parts of the design process. It can transform a room at the flick of a switch from light and functional, to subtle and atmospheric; it can be invigorating or it can be calming. Small rooms can be made to feel larger, large rooms smaller. Through appropriate lighting ceilings can be made to appear higher or lower. Baileybridge will work with you to design the lighting you need to create the right atmosphere in your home and we will specify the correct wiring and control infrastructure needed to operate the design.
Baileybridge provides a full range of Architectural and Structural Engineering services, (including architectural plans and structural drawings) from the initial design/feasibility study through the formal Planning process, Building Regulations and other statutory approvals. If you are unsure of what you require we can provide a feasibility study service to help pin down what it is you need, considering the priorities for the build and the budget.
No two kitchens we supply are the same, even when they may use the same basic range. By the time we have provided the handles of your choice, the layout of your choice, the worktop of your choice, the appliances and sink/taps of your choice, along with any bespoke work - such as a mantle or bookshelf and creative lighting - two identical off the shelf kitchens can look entirely different. The four kitchens below are all the same range but were completed for different budgets! When starting a kitchen refurbishment there is usually one of two approaches we take to understanding the initial style.
A conservatory is classed as having 75% translucent material in the roof and 50% in the walls. Anything less than this and it is classed as an extension and requires full Building Regulation approval. The downside of this is the additional cost in complying with the regulations, particularly with regards to the foundations. It must not exceed 30m2 of floor space, must be thermally separated from building it is attached to and have an independent heating system from the main building. The chances are that you cannot because the conservatory is unlikely to have been constructed in a suitable way as to accommodate a normal felt, slate or tile roof.
There is usually one of two approaches we take to understanding the initial style. Sometimes Clients approach us with pictures of the type of bathroom they want and will perhaps ask us to copy the wet room area from one and the tiling style from another etc. Others will not really know what they want and we will provide pictures of different bathrooms we have created. We ask them to tell us which they really like, which they really do not like and to tell us about the specific aspects that they would like to adopt.
