The Paint Cupboard: Workshops By Thomas & Lucia

In 2007 husband and wife, Matthew & Sue, formed Thomas & Lucia, an eCommerce business selling on their own website, Amazon, eBay and in their shop based in Christchurch, Dorset. Thomas & Lucia become a favorite local destination for home and garden accessories and gifts. In addition, we became one of the largest stockists of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ and ran official Chalk Paint™ workshops teaching hundereds of people how to use this amazning product. In September 2018, the shop was closed so that they could concentrate on a number of specialist services namely, furniture and kitchen unit painting using Chalk Paint™ and, in Sue's case, garden consultations and makeovers.

Ever wondered how to create the French look by transforming old unloved furniture using quick and simple paint techniques? Well you can be taught to use Chalk Paint™, a decorative paint from Annie Sloan, at approved workshops run by trained stockists. Until 2018 Thomas & Lucia ran workshops which Sue hosted. She trained hundreds of people on how to paint furniture and create many different decorative effects. We no longer run workshops but we thoroughly recommend Glenn & Clare at No64 Biscuit House.

One of the many great things about her Chalk Paint™ is that there is very little preparation required (if any), no priming so you can paint almost anything- bare wood, melamine, varnished and waxed surfaces.
