Alfred Poppins Stoves is based at Unit 4 West Street business park in Stamford, Lincolnshire. We opened in October 2016 and have gone from strength to strength serving our clients throughout the local area and beyond! At our store we have 30+ Stoves on display and 7 live burning stove displays to keep you warm in the colder months. We also stock a range of accessories like stove fans, log baskets and other fireside items. We also make bespoke steel log stands to order so if you have a specific requirement please just ask.

We were tasked with removing this open fire in Bourne and the customer was adamant he wanted to replace it all. Although it was a traditional original fireplace, it was damaged in several areas so replacing it was a wise choice. We knocked it open and added a raised. We have been attending a property in Tinwell to sort out a chimney that has not been swept in 15 years. Due to the unseasoned wood being burned it has built up a significant amount of tar and creasote.

I would highly recommend Alfred Poppins if you’re looking to have a wood burning stove installed. Excellent service from initial contact right through to completion…even personally delivered a miscellaneous item to my home the same day. Wayne and Jamie are really knowledgeable and likeable guys, completely trustworthy and cleared up after their work. The overall Installation was competitive against other local firms offering the same, but what I really liked was Wayne’s technical expertise and how quickly he came back with answers. We are now all snug and ready for winter thanks to Alfred Poppins🔥🔥

Used Alfred Poppins for a chimney sweep for the first time since we moved into a house with a log burner - came highly recommended when looked online and wasn't dissappointed, very friendly chaps arrived this morning, very clean with sheets down to minimize any mess and super speedy too. Would highly recommend and will be using in future too!

We used the guys to sweep the chimney in our last house. As soon as we moved to our new house we got them in to check all the open fire chimneys and no surprise (the building surveyor has already warned us) one of them was condemned.
The solution was a to fit a log burner and flue liner and Wayne and the guys did an amazing job.
Great product, good price and first class service.
My log burner was installed yesterday and I can't recommend this Company highly enough. The installation wasn't without it challenges (mainly due to a narrow chimney) but it was dealt with in such a confident professional manner that you knew the result would be perfect - and it was! No fuss, no mess just brilliant - thank you Alfie

We had 2 chimneys in Haddon swept today using Alfred Poppins, and we were blown away by everything from communication, to cleanliness and speed of the job. This guy is super friendly, efficient and knows his stuff professionally and swept the muck from our chimneys whilst keeping a good sense of humour. We would totally recommend.
It's not often you find a duck stuck in the chimney! Poor old Daffy. The boys were tasked with sweeping 13 flues in one house today in Stamford. The chimneys had been blocked for a number of years, some of the news papers shoved in the fireplaces were over 30yrs old.
