Two University of Manchester scientists, Dr David Glover and Professor Christopher Whitehead, set up Plasma Clean to manufacture products that enhance air quality and create a cleaner, safer environment. We began as a venture capital-backed spin-out company formed to commercialise non-thermal or cold-plasma technology for air treatment. Today, Plasma Clean operates globally from our Manchester base. We're an established and trusted pioneer of indoor-air-quality products for all commercial sectors.

Some competitor units simply mask smells with a chemical perfume. But our Xtract system releases natural ozone directly into the kitchen ventilation system. Ozone is a superb disinfectant and odour neutraliser that eliminates cooking smells at source, using ozonolysis. And it works around the clock - just change the filters every few months. The Ambion 100 utilises plasma ionisation technology to destroy odours present in ambient air. The Ambion 100 is suitable for a range of environments such as restaurant kitchens, refuse storage and public waiting areas.

We make sure our equipment is installed correctly and works to full capacity. To validate your warranty, all of our products should be commissioned by a Plasma Clean engineer. Our installation expertise is your peace of mind. Our duct-cleaning maintenance programme controls grease and fire risk, and our TR19 inspection service is nationwide. Why TR19? That's a standard defined by BESA in 1988. It standardises duct and kitchen extract cleaning systems within the insurance and building-engineering sectors.
