Leicester based Crafton Developments was established eight years ago by two of us, Tim Thornley and Jamie Wilcox, whose backgrounds are in plumbing and heating. Whilst our hearts have always remained in plumbing and heating, our business interests have also included refurbishing houses and developing new build homes and apartments. This has meant that we've seen first hand the changing technology available to create energy efficient homes and embraced changes in the UK's building regulations. We have developed significant expertise in renewable energy and are accredited to install solar thermal (hot water) systems, air and ground source heating, thermo dynamics as well as standard plumbing and electrical installations.

At Crafton Developments, we have extensive experience in installing solar water heating systems throughout Leicestershire and Rutland. Solar water heating systems use solar panels, called collectors, fitted to your roof. These collect heat from the sun and use it to heat up water which is stored in a hot water cylinder. A boiler or immersion heater can be used as a back-up to heat water further to reach the temperature you require.
