Our new Textile centre houses the latest equipment available in the Industry together with the highest level of skilled staff. We use the Sanitone or GreenEarth cleaning systems for your garments. These factors ensure that your clothing and textiles are given the best possible attention during cleaning and finishing. Furthermore as the construction of today's garments is becoming increasingly complex, and therefore the cleaning, stain removal and finishing is a very skilled procedure which our experienced staff excel at.

David Barnes has been in the textile care industry for over forty-five years, and traded as an independent Dry Cleaner in Cardiff since 1976. Initially at Superb Cleaners in Albany Road, and then under his own name since 1991, and has always aimed at providing the highest level of garment care available at affordable and competitive prices. Our staff are highly skilled and trained to understand the complexity of clothes and household furnishings. David Barnes Dry Cleaning provides you with a full range of domestic and small contract laundry services. Our Ironing Service is designed for washable items and finished on our professional shirt finishing and ironing equipment. This will provide a high standard of finish to regular items. Some items however, will require extra hand finishing. DB Dry Cleaners luxury services for every day wear of garments. Garments are carefully inspected prior to cleaning and items are cleaned using the most appropriate cleaning median.

We abide by the Code of Practice drawn up in consultation with the Office of Fair Trading. My daughter spilt coffee all over a gorgeous fine cashmere scarf. I was convinced it was absolutely ruined but the DB team somehow got it stain free and brought it back to life. Whilst dry cleaning is excellent at the removal of normal day to day soiling, there are stains with colouring which will remain. Our Cleaning manager and his team are highly experienced in the safe removal of many of these stains that cannot be removed in the course of normal dry cleaning. We have a full range of safe chemicals and the very latest stain removal technology to assure the best safe result for you.

We provide a personalised laundry service for your own linen to all Restaurants & catering establishments. The provision of Guests and Staff dry cleaning and laundry is a natural extension to the retail business which we provide. Indeed, we have operated in this area for over 30 years. We are extremely well placed to provide a very high quality, bespokely designed daily service for any hotel within the Cardiff Area. Our Garment & Textile Care Centre, with five vans, is ideally suited for processing high volumes of work the same day, ensuring a reliable and efficient service.

Each garment is treated individually whilst in our care and categorised for the most appropriate cleaning method. Whilst the overall method of Dry Cleaning is similar for all garments, we do offer a two tier service from which our customers can normally select their preference. There are instances when garments will automatically be attended with on our Premier service, for instance when they are either of high value or of a designer nature. With over 40 years experience in the Drycleaning & Dry Cleaning Trade we have expert knowledge and skills that enable us to offer our range of specialist services, which you can use with confidence.

Stainguarding and any repairs or alterations are then undertaken. Your curtains are then passed to our finishing department, where the linings are ironed before they are hung in our specialised Drapemaster Curtain Finishing Former, where they are gently steamed, under tension if appropriate, to obtain the best final presentation. With the gentleness of the processing, and sophistication of our finishing techniques, we are normally able to retain the finish on such materials. However we are unable to guarantee this, and there may at times be some loss or difference when compared with the new fabric, and the depth of the dye.
