We are a family business based in the heart of Derbyshire. Matthew Dawes leads the company as a fully qualified, time-served bench joiner with eight years' experience working in the furniture-making industry. He has a background of over 17 years in art and design, bringing this expertise into each piece of handcrafted furniture he makes, operating out of his Derbyshire workshop. Matthew has long had a passion for the Shaker style. Shaker craftsman were known for a style of furniture that is simple, durable, functional and is still highly regarded to this day.
