Rocket Blasting has now been trading for just over ten years. We started off running as a small part time business refurbishing small items such as wrought iron gates and wheels, working in a small yard based in Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot in Devon. Due to the overwhelming response from local residents and businesses we decided to go full time moving more into the mobile blast cleaning and protective coating side. Rocket Blasting offers you a full range of blast & specialist cleaning skills (sandblasting, shot blasting, etc.) and the professionalism to ensure that every job is completed to the very highest quality.
Our Unit can cater large structures with the size being approximately 100ft x 80ft blasting unit and paint unit approximately 60ft x 20ft. Rocket Blasting can almost abrasive blast clean anything except one thing: RUBBER. All specialist paint applications are monitered by using an elecronically micron thickness tester and other testing such as pin-hole and salt testing to steelwork.
Blast Cleaning or commonly known as sand blasting or grit blasting is worked from an air compressor which pumps air into a "Blasting Pot" which holds abrasive grit, a mixture of grit and air is forced down a pipe and out of to clean the item. Variable air pressures is a must on all blast cleaning jobs from glass etching to delicate and soft metals such as alloy or even car panels. Rocket blasting uses a multitude of different grits for different jobs. For example we would not use a course abrasive to blast clean your 1960's split screen campervan - because it would come out like a tea bag - nor use a hard abrasive to blast wood - it would splinter.

Rocket Blasting can accommodate many sorts of protective coating applied by conventional car spraying to airless paint spraying (no need to thin paint down to spray, unlike a car spray gun). Rocket Blasting can apply an abundance of paints such as zinc rich primes to oxides to epoxy marine grade coatings. Top coat enamels to polymer two pack coatings for the construction industry are long lasting.
