As accredited and registered Energy Assessors sustainable considerations are at the heart of all we do. We work in 3D and offer specialist knowledge of the planning system for both rural and urban projects. Our clients include private residential, developer and commercial clients across North Devon, Torridge, Exmoor National Park and the Southwest of England.
Woodward Smith Chartered Architects LLP has grown since its predecessor practice Michael J Smith and Associates was formed in 1981. The current practice is headed up by John Woodward, RIBA Chartered Architect and Matthew Steart, RIBA Part II. John and Matt are supported by 5 permanent architectural staff; Enea, Darren, Lee, Dom and Dan. Our staff hold profession qualifications with RIBA and CIAT and we are Accredited registered Energy Assessors for new build homes and residential conversions. The Practice specialises in planning and design for the residential and business sectors having strong and established working relationships with the local planning authorities of Exmoor, North Devon, Torridge and Mid Devon.
After a more positive outlook yesterday we want to share some more positive news. Our new unique hexagon building is beginning to take shape. This is only the start of something special but we cant wait for you to visit us this summer and see it for yourself!
