Thirlwall Associates is a Chartered Landscape Architecture consultancy based near Oxford and undertakes commissions throughout the UK. The practice works with architects, engineers, planners, project managers and other construction professionals as well as providing specialist sub-consultancy to other landscape architecture practices. Set up in 1996 the practice has worked with a wide range of public and private sector clients including the Environment Agency, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Corporation of London and Sustrans.
Thirlwall Associates was founded by Claire Thirlwall in 1996. Clients include the Environment Agency, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Sustrans and the Vale of White Horse District Council as well as private practices and developers. After deciding on a career in Landscape Architecture at 14 Claire graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 1994 and qualified as a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) in 1997. She worked on the City Challenge regeneration of the Holmewood Estate by Bradford Metropolitan District Council in her Year Out and after graduation worked for the Thames Valley Groundwork Trust.
