Our historic parks and gardens were created through exemplary vision. A vision based on the benefits of meticulous planning to create striking landscapes, designed to last hundreds of years. The mature trees that we see in the grounds of our favourite estates were planted many decades ago, for our benefit and future generations. We find such forethought and vision to be truly inspirational and our professional landscape design services offer this hall mark, the right species in the right place, to create inspired landscapes, for instant effect and for the future.

Following the failure of a mature Ash, which resulted in the loss of three lives and subsequent prosecution, Birmingham City Council released the following statement. Birmingham City Council "deeply regret this tragic accident [and] have taken on board the lessons to be learned to strengthen and upgrade our tree maintenance programme." The Council were referring to what is probably the largest survey of trees ever undertaken in the UK and our principal consultant, Brendan Tuer, was tasked with this significant undertaking.
We have a collective responsibility to counter the affects of climate change and we believe we are uniquely positioned to help. Future Arbor contribute directly to wildlife habitat improvement and tree planting and as such, we believe we are pioneers in the fields of environmental arboriculture and woodland management. Our first tree planting venture, pre-2000, resulted in our planting approximately 10 acres of native woodland next to the River Severn in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. We could claim to have started early with carbon off-setting, but the truth was born from a simple desire to contribute in some small way to local public amenity.
The average annual death rate of newly planted trees in cities is one in ten. This is not caused by vandalism but by poor planting techniques and maintenance. The figure increases dramatically when larger trees are transplanted and the cost for tree loss alone, was calculated at over 10 million per year in 1995. At the same time, planning conditions often place a requirement on a developer to ensure that newly planted trees are maintained for a period of up to five years. Future Arbor have responded positively to this challenge and we are immensely proud of our success rates in tree planting.
