Elmstone Design LLP is an Architectural and Engineering Partnership formed in 2010 based on the breadth and depth of the previous experience of the Partners RIBA Chartered Architect, Sean Macmillan and Consultant Structural Engineer, John Sutton; since then Architectural Technologist, Adrian Henretty has joined the team along with Amy Boudewijn in a key supporting role. All the Partners have a track record for producing cost effective, aesthetically pleasing designs and imaginative solutions to overcome development constraints and construction challenges; together with consistently high standards of service to support client needs.
Thanks to our previous employers, ERMC Ltd, for name checking Elmstone Design LLP in the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2012, for our involvement with the Restoration of Golden Hill Fort which won "Best domestic Extension or Alteration" having previously having also awarded the "Island Heritage Award 2011" by Isle of Wight Society.
This project received the support of the local town council because the 3D images of the design demonstrated its low impact on the neighbourhood and immediate neighbours. The original project was costed and came within the budget costs although change in client's requirements lead to a new scheme being designed by Elmstone Design LLP and the obtaining of Planning Permission. The revised project has now started on site and hopefully will be nearing completion soon.
