R. Tinning & Son was founded in 1974 by Robin Tinning. Robin served his apprenticeship with a local joinery firm and soon afterwards started his own company, moving to the present location in 1985. Based in Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow we provide a quality joinery and building service throughout Central Scotland, covering areas such as Ayr, Glasgow, East Kilbride, Cumbernauld, Livingston, Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh. We take pride in providing work of the highest standard. Our workshop ensures quality and flexibility with the ability to alter or prepare site materials quickly.
Our portfolio of clients include Local Councils, Housing Associations, Health Boards / NHS Trusts, MoD Facilities, Local Businesses as well as residential properties. The relationship we have with our clients has been built up over many years and we feel that this displays a high level of quality workmanship, trustworthy employees (who have been granted security clearance) and excellent performance in all aspects of Health & Safety. We have been registered with Constructionline for a number of years, which is, a government approved register of qualified construction services.
While much of our work is for commercial customers, we are more than happy to provide building and joinery services for customers in our local area. We can carry out work from small repair and maintenance jobs to larger projects with Robin giving expert advice in all aspects of a project, from concept to completion. Our tradesmen have experience with all aspects of joinery work and we can provide other trades as required. Smaller projects receive the same attention to detail that a larger project would and customers can be confident in our ability and professionalism.
R. Tinning & Son is a well-established joinery business with many years of experience in the construction industry. The variety of work we produce includes new work, alterations, refurbishments (including fire damage and flood damage reinstatements), maintenance, shop-fitting, manufacturing and fire door supply or upgrade. We carry out many projects as Main Contractor and we use a variety of sub-contractors, most of whom have been with us for years and all of whom are carefully evaluated prior to being included on our approved list.
