A successful project will satisfy the aspirations of a client for design and aesthetics, and meet all functional, financial and technical requirements. The client's ideas and goals are the starting point and inspiration. My role is to ensure that those ideas and objectives are maintained, or developed, as the project progresses through each stage. The ARB is a statutory independent body which regulates architects in the UK to give the public confidence when commissioning an architect, by restricting the use of the title 'Architect', by enforcing standards of education, conduct and practice, and by investigating complaints.
