York Associates was formed over forty years ago, providing Architectural Services and Planning Advice for a range of clients. Over the past fifteen plus years, we have specialised in providing a dedicated service for residential properties and domestic Clients. We have a high degree of success in gaining Planning Permission and have built up an understanding of modern-day family needs when designing new houses, extensions and loft conversions. York Associates are based in Whitchurch, Hampshire and have built up professional relationships with Planning Departments of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Test Valley Borough Council, West Berkshire Council and Wiltshire Councils.

We have invested in a specialist 'Computer-Aided Design' drawing system, specifically designed for architectural services. This shows the Local Authority a clear and easy to read professionally presented drawings that stand an improved likelihood of receiving beneficial Planning Permission and Building Regulations Approval. To assist people budgeting for their future needs, it is often possible to gain Planning Permission for new dwellings within existing garden areas, depending on the planning policy and space available.

This ranges from taking note of your detailed requirements on our initial visit, assessing the optimum design for your needs and moulding this into a design that can be submitted to the Local Authority, as part of a Planning Application. We also provide our clients with a written fee proposal covering our specific services for a project, which includes a fixed fee. It also sets out the associated pre-contract costs in order that our prospective Clients can organise their budget. This proposal also forms the contract between York Associates and our Client, ensuring a good working relationship is maintained throughout the course of our services.
