Raynes Architecture is an award winning practice with Lisa Raynes at the helm. Lisa is a Chartered Architect, Chairman of the RIBA North West Solo Practitioners Group, Past Chairman of Women in Property's (WiP) North West branch. Lisa has expertise in delivering planning approvals and listed building consents in housing, heritage, community and commercial. In 2010 Lisa decided the time was right to set up her new practice Raynes Architecture in South Manchester. Raynes Architecture incorporated in February 2011.

In Wilmslow, Cheshire, Architect Lisa doubled the size of a house. Creating a luxury house fit for the 21st century. By extending to the rear and into the attic, creating a luxury master bedroom with ensuite and dressing room, an open plan kitchen diner with wood-burning stove. The bi-fold doors open the garden up to the house. Lisa is a true professional. She listens, gets to know you and your needs and applies her knowledge and experience to ensure every detail is addressed. We have not been an easy client, changing our minds numerous times on issues.

In Didsbury, Lisa beautifully crafted a loft extension with a simple dormer and gave the family an extra bathroom and a large bedroom. Now, the house is an oasis of child-free calm. There are no more queues for the bathroom in the morning, the loft extension has made the house more functional and it was a lot cheaper than moving - we'll never have to move again.

Formally a textile mill, Ropewalks has been refurbished to create a stunning development of high quality office space in Macclesfield. The offices still have many of the original features, yet manage to provide a contemporary office environment (including raised floors, suspended ceilings, fully DDA compliant and video entry system).

Architect in the House is an innovative scheme run by Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). We match homeowners with a local RIBA chartered architect who gives up an hour of their time for a design consultation. In exchange, the homeowner makes a suggested donation of £40 to Shelter. In 2011 the TV channel Home is title sponsor of the scheme, and Rockwool is associate sponsor. Raynes Architecture is a socially motivated architecture practice. With previous experience in social housing, and disabled adaptations. Lisa Raynes was a trustee of the learning disability and mental health charity, Outreach. Lisa is doing am amazing job. I love the stone work being mirrored in the wooden door. And the overhang of the roof I think works perfectly.
