Metal automated gates led to and in-and-out driveway with a decorative approach to the front door. A level upper lawn with pastel planting framed the view beyond. Granite sets provided a decorative entrance up to the metal automated gates open in to a granite-edged gravel drive. Surrounding the wide drive the planting complimented the new thatched property, drawing the visitors eye towards the house.

Gardens around the house were created incorporating new entrance gates, driveway and paths. Terraces with a modern feel to complement the new modern glass alteration provided space for eating and sitting.

The family-sized patio is at the heart of the garden. It is spanned by a large pergola that provides both shade and privacy. Planting in the garden is low maintenance with evergreen structure and interest throughout the year. Creation of brick and stone terraces within divided rooms, one of which has a black summerhouse. Arches and trellis divisions with structured planting.

This large light green painted conservatory was added sympathetically to this property to provide a garden room, increasing the size of the kitchen and providing a dining area and a view of the garden. This conservatory was added to a traditional cottage, extending the kitchen and adding a dining area and seating. It opens on to the garden terrace where there is an outdoor seating/dining area. A new olive green conservatory was added to the side of the house to give additional space to the house, with surrounding terraces, paths and plants.

The reflective black-lined pool was designed with a modern cuboid summerhouse which provided extra accommodation, changing and a gallery for the client son's art. A conversion of an old traditional swimming pool into a natural looking swimming pool and surrounding garden. Black tiles were used in the main pool to provide reflection and with a dark solar cover linked by a natural pond.
