Axis Architecture is a well established architect led practice based in Hampshire. Founded in 1994, Axis has built a strong reputation in the South East of England with extensive local contacts, including consultants, clients and contractors. Using the latest 3D computer technology we can deliver small and large projects, ranging from 150k to 4m and above.
Axis Architecture feels passionately about working in a considerate way with historic and listed buildings. We have a great deal of experience in converting, restoring and extending historic and listed buildings. These types of project require a specific set of skills which Axis prides itself on having refined over the past 25 years. Chris Cook has been the parish architect for Farlington Parish and is currently the Church Architect for All Saint's Church in Portsea. We can carry out condition inspections and reports of historic buildings, determine what building work is needed, and help guide the client through the process of getting Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent, and Building Regulation approval.
Axis Architecture is committed to providing a professional service to all our clients. We are passionate about all aspects of building projects; from understanding and interpreting our clients' needs, to producing concept designs, to detailing how the building will be constructed, and aiding the realisation of the project on-site. Our expert team can also carry out additional services in-house; such as photo-realistic 3D renderings, interior design, NBS building specifications, space planning, and graphic design.
Chris Cook, one of the Directors, is an Architect on the Architect's Registration Board Register of Architects (ARB) and a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The Royal Institute of British Architects champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and our members. They provide the standards, training, support and recognition that put it's members at the peak of their profession. The ARB is the UK's statutory regulator of architects.
Axis Architecture continue to support local architecture students by taking part in the 20/21 mentoring scheme, organised by RIBA South/ South-East Region under the RIBA Future Architects initiative, in collaboration with Portsmouth School of Architecture.
