We are a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) chartered practice and members of the Architects Registration Board. As conservation architects, registered with the Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC), we are recognised for our knowledge and experience in the care of historic and listed buildings. Consequently, we have obtained various awards including: The Newcastle-under-Lyme Civic Award and The North Staffordshire Architecture & Urban Design Award for our contribution to our local townscape.
Set in the heart of Stoke on Trent and adjacent the new University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Lovett Care purchased Hilton House from the local authority in June 2013, at which point it was in a state of disrepair. The building has undergone phase 1 of the refurbishment transformation, providing 30 single and 5 double bedroom, a modern commercial kitchen, large communal lounge and bar area and ungraded facilities. The building is perfectly set in 1.1 acres of land affording all residents peace and quiet to sit with family and friends.
It has been a pleasure working with Tarpey Woodfine on a recent, complex, Grade II Listed Building Refurbishment and Extension Project. As a building contractor it is refreshing to work with an Architects practice that balances design requirements and practical solutions, whilst looking after the client's best interests. Dave Wood's efficient contract management and a good working relationship led to a very successful outcome for all parties. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tarpey Woodfine Architects.
We're moving in the New Year to:
