Business Interiors was established in Plymouth in 1992, supplying office furniture to local companies. Expanding rapidly, complimentary divisions were added offering interior design and interior fit-out services as Business Interiors became established as the largest office interior firm in Devon and Cornwall. In 2005 a Bristol office was opened as the company expanded north to serve national customers, winning projects as far afield as Newcastle - including the major cities of London, Birmingham & Manchester.
Running out of room? Or in need of an office refurbishment? Moving office can be costly, it's not just the upheaval of moving; you may lose some key staff because of a new commute, and unfortunately some people just don't like change - so maybe staying put might be a great option? Bringing in a third party office design expert can free you from the headache of different internal agendas and help you see your office from a new perspective. You might be really surprised how we can increase occupancy, and improve the workspace at the same time.
Our commercial procurement services are not limited to offices, we also look after other commercial sectors such as hotels, heath care & education - in fact any project requiring large scale FF&E (Furniture, Fittings & Equipment) procurement, we can help. You have to get at least three quotes. But who do you invite? How do you ensure a level playing field? How do you filter all those sales calls? There's a lot to consider, but working with a furniture expert can help you pull everything together.
Relocating office is a fantastic opportunity to make a big positive impact on your business. We love making our internal contacts look great - when your staff move in and love their new space, it's not really us that gets the credit, it's the internal champion we were working with, and we like it that way. The business flourishes, the move is a big moral boost, everyone's happy. You're a legend. Get it wrong in even the smallest way and your business can be disrupted, an office move deadline cannot be negotiable - if your employees can't work for even one hour, how much does that cost?
A traditional office interior design and build involves managing numerous team members all of whom have their own take on things and rarely consider each other when making decisions. We all recognise the architect intent on building the no-expense-spared legacy, with scant regard to costs or your real needs; or what about the cynical builder who changes things as he goes along, or points the finger at the designer if there's a problem on site? You dont need that. Our designers work literally alongside our project managers - changes are communicated instantaneously and usually at no extra cost.
We are not tied to one manufacturer, we have purchasing records for over 150 furniture suppliers alone (not to mention lighting, carpets, even wall hung art). Some of our employees have worked either directly for, or with, some of the largest office product manufacturers in the world, such as Steelcase, Knoll, Herman Miller, Kinnarps, Senator, Allermuir, Bene, Orangebox, Millken, Interface etc. etc. In short, there's not much we don't know about about office furniture and office procurement, and all the other fixtures and fittings that populate a great office - and more importantly, how to get you the best pricing and the best product mix for your company or project.
