The Practice was founded in 1978 by Bill Marshall in response to a demand from lawyers and insurers for clear accurate advice on complex technical issues in civil and structural engineering, since when the firm has earned a reputation for providing high quality advice to a wide range of clients. An architectural capability was introduced to the Practice in 1996 to broaden the scope of our services. Since its inception the Practice has specialised in providing Expert advice, and members of the Practice have acted as Expert Witnesses in many high value, high profile disputes.
We provide a full consulting engineering service that includes the design and construction management of civil and structural engineering projects. Members of the Practice have worked for some of the largest civil and structural engineering consultancies in the United Kingdom on projects as diverse as buildings, stadia, airports, highways, tunnels, bridges, dams, treatment works, flood defences, docks and harbours. We have broad experience of the design, construction and refurbishment of steel and concrete structures, masonry and timber construction, basements, foundations, temporary works, glazing and cladding systems.
